What happens to your email address when you ask to be notified about Cortius. In short: we keep as little as possible, use it once, and delete it.

What we keep
Your email address, the language you chose, when you signed up and confirmed, and a one-way hash of your IP address. Nothing else: no name, age or school.
Why, and on what basis
Only to confirm that the address is yours (one confirmation email) and to send you one email when Cortius opens. The basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by signing up and confirming.
The hash of your IP address protects the form against abuse — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). We never store the IP address itself.
How long
Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days, everything else within 30 days after the launch. If you create an account in the app with the same address, we delete the waitlist entry right away. After you unsubscribe we keep only a one-way hash of the address, so we never write to it by mistake.
Who processes it for us
Our servers and database run in the EU. Emails are sent by Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) from its data centre in Ireland; as Resend is a US company, any transfer of data to the USA is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Open and click tracking are off. We never sell or share your data.
Your rights
You can withdraw your consent at any time with the “Unsubscribe” link in every email or by writing to info@iniciativaracio.org — unsubscribing deletes your address. You also have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and to object, and you can complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk).
Once you create a Cortius account, the app’s privacy notice, shown at registration, applies.
